Ripples Action is a series of activities which motivate and engage women lawyers, women accountants, women doctors, women nurses, social workers, Junior Police, University Students, NGO and others to support and empower underprivileged women. The Ripples Action Initiative, founded by FIDA and other dedicated women professionals including women doctors, accountants and nurses and International Social Service (ISS), has continued to be active in the past year in reaching out to migrants and needy women in the community to provide mentoring and support for them and their families.
On 8 October 2016, we hosted our community event together with the same team of Professionals at Yan Oi Tong Jockey Club Community Centre at Tuen Mun. The Honourable Mr Justice Patrick Li was invited to be our Guest of Honour and our President as our welcoming speaker. Talks on finance and other interesting topics were given, experience on mentoring, family and legal matters shared, and pep smear, blood and stress tests conducted for free. For this event, about 100 women were benefited with subsequent medical follow-up actions done.

In addition, two waves of Home Visits to local partitioned rooms in Shamshuipo districts were arranged on 10 & 18 December 2016 aiming at connecting with and mentoring the underprivileged women and families there. On each occasion, we shared the ups and downs of these families and broadened our horizon.
