Over the past year, the FIDA Fashion and Lifestyle Committee has continued to collaborate with platinum and international world-renowned brands, fashion gurus, perfumeries, start-ups and jewelers to provide an array of exciting and dynamic events for FIDA’s members and friends. These include:

• Diamond grading workshop by Artsy Fine Jewellery (5 and 19 November 2018).  This workshop covered basic knowledge of grading a diamond (4C), comparison of different diamonds, tips on buying a diamond and identifying a synthetic diamond, investment value and showcase on the rarest pink and blue diamonds.  10% of the proceeds from sales from FIDA members and friends that evening were donated to FIDA to support its administrative costs.
  
• Diamonds and birthstones workshop by Foo Hang Jewellery workshop (8 December 2018).
  This workshop was held exclusively for FIDA members and friends on 8 December 2018 at Foo Hang Jewellery’s showroom in Central. It was a very enjoyable event which included: 
  (i) a talk on "Diamonds, Quality & Value";
  (ii) a DIY jewellery workshop to make a necklace based on the colour of participants’ respective birthstone;
  (iii) an introduction on a new design software Mark 3D prototyping.
  
  
  
  
• Holiday wellness event with Enhale Meditation Studio, FIKA, Roroku and CocoParadise (12 December 2018)
• We supported Artsy Fine Jewellery’s second anniversary party (14 December 2018).  
  10% of the sale proceeds received by Artsy Jewellery that evening were donated to FIDA Trust for charitable causes supported by FIDA, such as Agape, Youth Outreach and Watoto and to FIDA for administrative costs.

• Parfumerie Trésor flower arrangement workshop (13 April 2019)
  
• Pedder Group Gianvito Rossi pre-fall 2019 collection VIP pre-view night (24 May 2019)
  
• Happy Women's Day event - Larry Jewelry video launch party (6 March 2019) in collaboration with the FIDA Food and Drinks committee
  
  FIDA members and friends were invited to an exclusive jewellery and video launch cocktail party on 6 March 2019, organised by Larry Jewellery.  Bordeaux wines, French cheese and Spanish ham were served throughout the event.  Ms. Jocelyn Choi, an emerging actress (daughter of our council member and past president, Mrs. Janice Choi), who was featured in the video was there to share with our members and friends her design concept of her Mermaid series watches.
  
  During the special session designated for FIDA members, Mr. Michael Wong Man-tak was also there to sing and to play the piano.  Our members and friends had a wonderful evening enjoying the video and the live band performances, as well as tasting the French wines and other delicacies being made available for tasting at the event.
