Co-Chairs: Sarah Wong, Kitty Chan
Together with the Health & Fitness Committee, we invited our Council member Alexandra Lo to give Council members and mentees a lunch talk on “Thoughts on Beauty and Harmony” at the China Club on 19th May 2018. We learned how to improve our health and body inside and out and had a fun Saturday noontime together.
The Mentoring committee co-hosted a number of events for members. Thanks to the organization by our mentor and co chair Sarah Wong, we were invited to Lane Crawford’s Christmas event at Pacific Place home store.
In February, we participated in a Executive Luncheon event hosted by Microsoft in Hong Kong courtesy of the invitation of Winnie Yeung, also our mentor. The mentoring group also joined the two Women in Law Series co-hosted by FIDA and the Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association, where our mentor, Anne Chen, also spoke at the first event. Members of the mentoring group also attended as a group to the charity concert of Ms. Carol Yu for the benefit of charity Habitat for Humanity. We also extended invitations to mentoring group members to events organized by other subcommittees on fashion and beauty, parenting and cookery.
We plan to strengthen the career counselling aspect of the mentoring group in the coming year, in order to respond to the increasing need of members in these areas, and a number of mentors has pledged their support.
Other activities include:

The FIDA Mentoring Program is sponsored by OnePointSix and Vinterra Wines at the Upper House Hotel Suite on 28 January 2015. Our President Benita Yu shared with mentees some of the secret of her success, while members also had fun trying out the outfits of OnePointSix and tasting good wine.
We also co-hosted the “Mocks, Woks and Todds” mentoring talk on 6 March 2015, with Microsoft at the Hong Kong Club, inviting guests such as Lora Yip (Head of Legal & Compliance, Asia of Vanguard Investments Hong Kong Limited), the Hon Madam Justice Mimmie Chan and Ms. Winnie Tam (Senior Counsel and Chairwoman of the Hong Kong Bar Association) to share their experience in the workplace.
